A stock EcoBoost V6 engine was pulled off the assembly line and endured the equivalent of 150,000 harsh user miles on the dynamometer, then was installed into a new 2011 Ford F-150

The 2011 F-150 EcoBoost moved 55 tons of timber as a log skidder in Oregon.

Then went to Homestead and towed an 11,300-pound trailer at speeds approaching 100 mph for 24 hours straight at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

The Ford then went out west and beat a Dodge Hemi and a 5.3L Chevy truck in a steep-grade towing contest at Davis Dam. All three pulled a 9000+ pound trailer up a 6% grade for 3.5 miles. The Ford beat both to 60 by over 10 seconds and got to the finish line well ahead of the Dodge and Chevy.

The engine was pulled and placed in a race truck chassis that was entered in the Baja 1000. It finished not only the Baja 1000 in 38 hours and 20 minutes, the team was called upon to pull numerous other trucks out of mud and huge ruts. 1/3 of the vehicles in this years Baja 1000 failed to cross the finish line.
