Biggest difference between EVO MR and std EVO is the standard transmission. EVO MR has a 6 speed and the regular EVO has a 5 speed. Also the MR has an aluminum roof.

Pietjez, first of all these cars are designed for rallying purposes, not for anything else not even for dragracing. Well... you could modify anything for dragracing but that's not the issue here.

This aluminum roof has been incorporated in the chassis so as to reduce top-heavyness of the car. To reduce weight at the top of the car. Purpose is to make the car respond better to directional changes in a stable manner. Another way to understand is when you see a Golf go thru twisting bends of the road everytime you see one of the rear tires lift off the road? Well, this roof is one of the way the engineers at Mitsu found that will reduce this lifting. Just another way NOT to put a bigger/thicker anti-sway bar in the car and still use softer springs. It is NOT some kind of styling... crap.
:2cents: The make up of any "culture" must evolve or die.....
The roots remain...
but as with anything(everthing) else it is up to those who are the future to shape the future.

Damn, got's to get me one of those! all fours baby

Winkz, first thing that came to my mind was the weight issue offcourse, but i didnt thought it would make such a difference/impact,since the weight of a car roof doesn't weigh as much as a cardoor.
But i got my answer from Ir.GinoX :laffin:
Abrupt directional changes, thats the key factor :scholar:
