F1 inspired paddles

Post by GinoX »

So yeah guys, whatch'all thinking about this trend. It has been going on for some time now and judging by the excerpt below, it has gone main stream and is here to stay along with the Dutch transmission invention -> the CVT!

The roots remain...
but as with anything(everthing) else it is up to those who are the future to shape the future.

Not much of the car manufactures that have introduced the F1 type flap paddles have succeeded in this "gadget", some of them have broken the gearbox/transmission or the up shifting or down shifting was not up to par nor functioning when you wanted to.

Ralph and Truli have had problems with this also that their cars have stood on the starting grid and wont go into gear for the warm-up lap or the race itself.

I wish Toyota succes in implementing a F1 technology in a road car! In addition brands that have succeeded are Ferrari, Masserati (DUH!) and Aston Martin. Failures BMW (Surprisingly and Audi) The failures are improving them in their 2007 models equiped with this feature.
